We where in air conditioned twin room. Location: the hotel was next to the bus stations and the rail stations, the centre of valnce with a 5 minute walk to a beautiful park and the train station. Local fast food option Mcdonald's was 5 minutes walk away.

had a great short break in valence, de lyon exceeded expectations. convenient location near station and old town with lots of restaurants. staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. decent breakfast too.

The room we stayed in was quite small and poorly appointed, with the beds pushed together and a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The bathroom facilities were cramped and uncomfortable to use, with a tiny shower and toilet area.

The young staff were very helpful

It was like sleeping in a broom cupboard in fact I would question the safety as I banged my head arm and legs and came away with bruises - the shower/ loo and washbasin wasn't at all sufficient to wash safely
